What the pages are

These pages explain how shares, bonds, funds, prices, and public documents are named. The text is general information. It is not tailored to you, and it is not a service that manages money.

Acceptable use

You may read the notes and quote a short passage with a link back to the page. You may not present the shelf as a broker, an adviser, or a marketplace, and you may not scrape the pages in order to imitate a regulated service.

Intellectual property

The wording of the notes belongs to the shelf as an editorial work. Public documents cited as sources remain the texts of their authors. A citation is not a licence to republish those documents.

No products

The site does not sell financial products, does not open accounts, and does not provide a trading service. Revenue, if any, comes from advertising and from educational content that is free to read. There are no commissions for recommending instruments.

Liability and risk

Markets can lose money. A clear sentence about a share or a bond does not reduce that risk and does not create a duty to you. You remain responsible for your own decisions. The notes are offered without a guarantee that a definition matches every issuer’s document.

Law

These terms are written for readers in Canada and are meant to be read under the laws of Canada and of New Brunswick, without inventing a corporate registration for the shelf.
